Iranian Security Failure

On 27 November Mohsen Fakhizadeh was assassinated in Tehran. As the top nuclear scientist he was very a very well known person to the people of Iran and so although I question a lot of the nuclear activities he was involved in, I also feel a loss.

The Iranian government has blamed Israel as is expected, stating that the attack took place using advanced remote control and AI weapons. The media has reported that the weapon was fixed to a truck and that the truck exploded after the attack. Reports claim also that no human assassin was at the scene.

For me it is more probable that this was another Iran security failure. Fakhizadeh had huge security because he was named by Israel as a target and the Iranian state should have been on high alert - perhaps the regime should have concentrated on this personal security instead of all the security tools and censorship that they have on Iranian people!

Iran is increasingly becoming known for assassinations. Nuclear scientists were targeted before and another assassination happened in August. Is this a sign that the Iranian state is losing its hold on security? Will this also mean the same for censorship in Iran?
